The Obra series is based on the remodelling of a house where I once lived. I was intrigued by the architect’s drawings and the contrast of new materials replacing old ones. I rescued a piece of wood from the emerging rubble with white paint still clinging to the surface, part of the kitchen made long ago. This brooch contains a fragment of that wood.
